About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable Operational Services Officer to join our Anatomical Pathology team. In this diverse and hands-on role, you will play a key part in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratories by performing a range of vital tasks. From assisting with specimen collection and processing, to filing blocks and slides, scanning, driving urgent cases between sites, and supporting multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), your contribution will directly support high-quality pathology services and patient care.
Working in the Main Laboratory and the Cut-Up Laboratory on a rotating basis you’ll also be involved in preparing histological specimens and assisting with routine equipment maintenance. You'll gain experience in data entry for mortuary and laboratory systems, while being part of a supportive and skilled team. You are a reliable and organised individual with strong numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Your practical approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills make you a valuable team member.
