This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

Applecross SHS is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and proactive Teacher of Home Economics to join our dedicated Technologies Learning Area team. The ideal applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong focus on building positive relationships, and the ability to deliver engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences that inspire students.

Experience in delivering Lower School Home Economics courses, Upper School General Food Science and Technology, and Certificate II in Hospitality will be highly regarded. We are seeking a teacher who adopts a student-focused approach, differentiates the curriculum to support and challenge learners across a range of abilities, and integrates current and emerging curriculum and technologies to meet the diverse needs of students. The successful applicant will ideally be skilled in explicit teaching strategies, reflective in evaluating and improving practice, and committed to creating a safe, accountable, and inclusive learning environment.
