About the role

Are you a passionate Swimming Facilitator / Community Engagement Coordinator looking to make a real difference in your local community? CHM Corporate Health Management is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Sanctuary Lakes Recreation Club in Point Cook, Victoria. This full-time role will see you delivering high-quality swimming lessons and programs, while also coordinating community engagement initiatives to promote health and wellbeing. You will play a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with our community members and conducting swimming classes.

What you'll be doing

Providing engaging and effective swimming instruction to individuals and small groups of all ages and abilities

Developing and delivering a range of swimming programs, from learn-to-swim classes to specialist activities

Rostering the swimming team and scheduling swimming sessions

Processing payments and enrolments promptly and efficiently

Greet community members upon entry, general reception duties

Organising community events and activities to encourage local participation in swimming and other healthy pursuits

Building relationships with the community to promote our services and coordinate events and workshops

Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of our swimming facilities

Contributing to the overall growth and development of our community-focused health services

Coordinate the Tennis program and liaise with the community members

What we're looking for

Minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified swimming instructor or coach

Previous experience in a similar role preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds

Excellent planning and organisational capabilities, with a proven track record of coordinating successful events and programs

Customer focused with the ability to interact effectively with community members

Passion for promoting health, wellbeing, and community engagement

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Sports and Recreation

Current First Aid and CPR certification

Working with Children Check
