Role Overview

As a Lift Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of elevators while upholding our company’s high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Your servicing routes will primarily be around the Western and Northern Suburbs, but this role will require travel across Metropolitan Melbourne, but we provide an all expenses paid company vehicle (manual license required).

Key Responsibilities

Work safely, adhering to all company safety procedures.

Develop proficiency in servicing, repairing, and maintaining lifts.

Respond to callouts for repairs and passenger releases.

Accurately complete service reports and callout documentation.

Liaise with clients professionally and ensure their needs are met.

Perform safety gear testing and identify necessary repairs.

Participate in the on-call roster for after-hours callouts.

Maintain a clean and organised company vehicle.

Report safety issues promptly and follow through on corrective actions.

Carry out lift installations and lodge Certificates of Electrical Safety as required.

What We’re Looking For

A-grade electrical license (mandatory).

Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn a new trade.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A high level of attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Valid driver’s license and Construction White Card.

Working with Children’s and National Police Check advantageous, and will be required should you be successful in your application.

Hours of Work

Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts within this window).

36-hour workweek (Monday to Friday) with a rostered day off.

Participation in the on-call roster for after-hours support.

Performance Expectations

Adherence to safety standards at all times.

Timely and high-quality completion of lift service, maintenance, and repair work.

Professional customer interactions and issue resolution.

Submission of paperwork and reports on time.

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including company vehicle.

Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
