Supernumerary role for 3 days/week on a 3 month contract to begin with. Permanent work to follow for suitable candidate.

Responsibilities will be:

Curriculum and Pedagogy

Design and implement curriculum aligned with early learning frameworks (e.g., EYLF in Australia).

Support educators in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Promote play-based learning and inquiry-driven approaches.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies and learning outcomes.

2. Professional Development

Mentor and coach educators to improve teaching practices.

Facilitate ongoing training and reflective practice sessions.

Encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices among staff.

3. Leadership and Management

Lead with vision and purpose, fostering a positive learning culture.

Support change management and innovation in teaching and learning.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality frameworks.

4. Child-Centered Practice

Advocate for children's rights, safety and wellbeing.

Ensure inclusive practices that respect diversity and individual needs.

Use observation and documentation to inform planning and support each child’s development.

5. Reflective Practice and Continuous Improvement

Lead reflective discussions to evaluate and improve practice.

Use data and evidence to inform decision-making.

Contribute to the service’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
