Red Arrow Australia is currently recruiting for experienced proactive and safety conscious Automotive Mechanic – Heavy Vehicle for our Tier 1 client located in the Pilbara. As an Automotive Mechanic – HV, you will carry out preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on autonomous and auxiliary mining fleets, ensuring reliability through effective troubleshooting and component replacement.

Position Details:

• FIFO Roster: 2:2 (one week days, one week nights, two week R&R)
• Point of Hire: Flights from Perth only
• Hours: 12.5 hours full time / casual contract
• Pay Rate: $60.00 - $80.00+ per hour (depending upon experience)
• Pay: Weekly. Super paid on all hours worked.
• Start Date: Immediate
• 12 Months Contract

About You:

• Perform mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery, including CAT, Liebherr, and Komatsu equipment
• Support site operations by completing planned shutdowns, servicing, breakdown response, and fault-finding tasks
• Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment to ensure fleet reliability and performance
• Accurately maintain service records and documentation in line with Fortescue standards
• Work independently while delivering high-quality workmanship and strictly adhering to our clients safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate as a Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter or Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME).
• Valid C Class driver’s license.
• Additional certifications in advanced diagnostics or specialised equipment maintenance are preferred.
• HRWL (High-Risk Work License) – Desirable but not required.
