About the Role Mary Ranken Child Care Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Educator (or someone actively working towards their Diploma) to join our vibrant team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a well-established, not-for-profit early childhood service entering an exciting new chapter with fresh leadership and vision.
About Us Located in the beautiful township of Gunnedah—known as the "Koala Capital of the World"—our service is licensed for 39 children aged 0–6 years across four rooms: Babies, Toddlers, Preschool, and School Readiness. We've proudly supported local families for over 48 years and continue to prioritise strong relationships, personalised care, and a commitment to child safety.
With two Early Childhood Teachers currently on staff, we offer strong educational leadership and collaboration—an exceptional asset for a service of our size. One of our ECTs will be retiring at the end of the year, making this a great time to join a team with deep experience and fresh energy.

Experienced in early childhood education and care
Skilled in curriculum planning and child assessment
Organised with strong time management
Committed to child safety and regulatory best practices
Essential Criteria:
ACECQA-approved Diploma (or working towards)
Experience in childcare
Current Working with Children Check
First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, and Child Protection certificates
Understanding of EYLF and NQS
Australian working rights or valid working visa
