About the role:
To support the participants in home and out in the community.
To know and understand the care and support of the participant
To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants' Care Plan using a person-centered approach and in the least intrusive way
To assists in household duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking.
To provide personal care and support to participants with a wide range of needs, illnesses and disabilities
To use manual handling equipment safely and correctly
To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the participants
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with participants
Job Details:
Qualification Requirement: Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support
Minimum 2 years' experience supporting clients with mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD)
Medication management
Skills : Communication, Proactive, Leadership
Pay: Competitive rates based on SCHADS
Expected Hours: 24:7 roster including overnight support.
Minimum availability 3 shifts per week (20 hours minimum)
Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check, First Aid and CPR
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for community transport duties
Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
