Trentham Waters Resort is a Palm Springs-inspired resort nestled along the banks of the majestic Murray River at Trentham Cliffs, NSW. As a family-owned business, we take pride in curating an environment where our guests can connect with the pristine beauty of nature whilst enjoying our modern facilities in a relaxed setting. The resort will open in December 2025.

We are looking for an experienced Groundsperson to take care of our extensive gardens with an immediate start. This person will report to our Maintenance Manager but oversee, supervise and train a small team of Guest Services Attendants.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting with the final stages our the resorts landscaping prior to our opening including the preparation of garden beds and lawns, planting, pruning, watering, irrigating, fertilising and mulching.

· Performing routine garden maintenance and care tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, weeding, watering, fertilising, and mulching, to maintain healthy gardens.

· Operating gardening tools and equipment, as well as the ongoing maintenance of those tools and equipment.

· Monitoring plant health, identifying and treating pests and diseases.

· Collaborating with team members to ensure our gardens and lawns are maintained in pristine condition.

· Managing and leading team members to deliver a high standard of garden maintenance.

Requirements:

· Highly experienced in garden maintenance, horticulture, or a related field.

· Sound knowledge of plant care, soil types, weed and pest management as well as gardening techniques.

· Capable of performing manual labour with a high level of physical fitness, including lifting, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Leadership & team management skills

· Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing landscapes.

· Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

This is a full-time position which may involve some weekend work.
