About the role
The primary purpose of the position is to coordinate program management activities for condition assessments including budget control, client communication, the allocation of internal resources and specialist subcontractors.
The role leads and supervises a team of condition assessors and support staff to successful project delivery outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing the delivery of condition assessment programs and projects particularly those deemed high risk, significant or complex in nature.
- Establishing and maintain a rolling annual program of condition assessments on a range of government funded facilities.
- Estimating accurate pricing for work identified as part of the condition assessment process, reviewing Maintenance Assessment Reports and providing guidance to subordinate condition assessment staff in estimating techniques and practices.
- Coordinating asbestos validations and ad hoc audit programs and providing accurate information for updating BEMIR, Built Environmental Management Information Register.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients through effective and regular communication, sound negotiation and the achievement of program outcomes which meet client expectations.
- Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
- Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
Additional Information
- The position will be located in the Gold Coast region, however, it will report to Brisbane Metro.
- A trade background is preferred.
- You will be required to travel within the SEQ region to assist other areas.
- You may be required to travel and assist with condition assessments in other regions.
- You may be required to travel and assist with disaster management in other regions.
Additional requirements (mandatory/desirable):
- Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable).
- Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card.
