About the position
We are seeking up to four highly motivated, appropriately skilled and experienced professionals to join our Procedure and Committee Offices as Senior Council Officers (Clerk Grade 7/8).
The Procedure Office supports the operation of the House, and the procedural, protocol and research needs of members. Senior Council Officers work across teams that each manage various aspects of the House and its sittings, including producing the House business papers and assisting the passage of legislation.
The Committee Office provides resources and secretariat support to the Legislative Council’s subject, portfolio and select committees, which undertake inquiries and review a diverse range of policy and accountability issues. Senior Council Officers support committee inquiries by organising hearings, briefings and committee travel under guidance, and assist with researching and writing committee reports.
