Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to provide support and assistance to individuals in need within the Griffith community. The Carer will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of clients, promoting their independence, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning tasks.
• Accompany clients to appointments and social activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Maintain accurate records of client care plans, progress notes, and any changes in health status.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients to foster trustful relationships.

Qualifications:

• Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
• Certification in a relevant field such as nursing assistant or home health aide is preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals requiring personal care is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player when required.
• Compassionate demeanor with patience for handling sensitive situations.
