About the opportunity
This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role that blends donor/customer care, donor stewardship and campaign coordination. You’ll be working on a flagship fundraising campaign, while identifying opportunities to help grow regular giving and major donor programs.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising Campaigns and Donor Relations in a small, tight-knit team, your role will have the following focus areas.
Supporter experience and engagement — managing email and phone enquiries, social media
engagement and community management and SMS communications (especially during the flagship campaign), welcome and thank you calls and general stewardship and engagement activity to deepen supporter relationships.
Major donor and regular giving program coordination — helping to steward key supporters, contribute to relationship plans.
Donor journeys and communications — collaborate with marketing to understand and improve the donor journey and develop and deliver onboarding and retention communications.
Strategic and research support — analysis and research in the CRM database to identify and leverage growth opportunities, track and report on revenue streams.
Campaign and event support — organise small-scale events and donor experiences to build strong relationships with supporters.
About you
You’re confident, organised, curious and kind. You’re comfortable working independently — making calls to donors, nurturing relationships, coordinating campaign logistics and working with a CRM.
Equally, you also thrive when collaborating with others. You’ll enjoy working with colleagues across marketing and fundraising on donor journeys, identifying opportunities and growing revenue over time.
We’d love you to bring:
at least 4 years’ in fundraising, supporter care or high-level customer experience
exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
a natural way with people and ability to build relationships with warmth and empathy
strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle tasks and priorities
a proactive and self-directed work style and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
experience using a CRM system and working with data
a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced, small team environment
strong emotional intelligence and personal resilience.
Experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment is ideal but not essential — what matters most are your communication and relationship skills and positive, team-focused mindset.
