Who we are

Torchmaster Australia is a family-owned national wholesaler of welding consumables, with warehouses in Perth, Brisbane, and Melbourne.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced and self motivated stores person at our warehouse based in Wangara, Perth.

This position would suit someone with previous picking and packing experience. Any welding experience would be highly regarded.

The Position

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the key areas of responsibility include;

Accurately picking and packing orders to required deadlines

Delivery of stock to customers in company van

Receive and despatch parts and equipment

Weekly despatch of stock transfers to other Torchmaster branches

Answering phone calls when required

Liaising with transport companies and completing documentation

Loading and unloading trucks as required

Local inventory maintenance, including stock take when requested

Managing damaged stock

Assembly of components to build stock items when required

Ensure the warehouse remains clean, organized, and free of hazards

Role requirements

Previous warehouse experience preferred, with training provided.

Valid Forklift Licence is essential.

Valid driver's license is essential.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, in a team environment.

Good time management skills and attention to detail.

Basic Computer skills.

Mechanical aptitude would be beneficial
