About the Role
Flinders University is seeking a proactive and independent Research Fellow in Extracellular Vesicle (EV) Biomarkers to join the Discipline of Clinical Pharmacology. The role focuses on EV isolation, characterisation, and biomarker analysis from human biospecimens.
Working under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator, you'll contribute to project design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, while managing multiple studies within a collaborative research environment. You'll also support the preparation of competitive grant applications and present findings through publications and conferences.
This position is key to advancing the EV research group's impact through technical leadership, methodological innovation, and high-quality research output.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- A PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, with experience in molecular biology or translational research laboratory settings.
- A strong research track record, including high-quality publications, competitive grant success, and national or international presentations.
- Proficiency in LC-MS-based proteomic analysis for biomarker quantification in complex biological samples.
- Understanding of clinical biomarker development, including translational challenges and regulatory considerations.
- Experience translating research into regulated environments, such as clinical assay development or industry collaborations.
