About the role
Clarity Partners is partnering with a number of engineering and construction organisations in the Western and Northern suburbs.
We are seeking experienced Financial Accountants for multiple opportunities across Perth CBD and surrounding suburbs, with contract lengths that can suit your career goals and lifestyle. In these roles, you will take ownership of key reporting, compliance, and process improvement functions, contributing directly to the organisation’s financial health and strategic objectives. High-performing candidates may have the opportunity to extend their contract or transition into a permanent position. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and consolidations will be highly valued, and you’ll work alongside a supportive, collaborative team.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement — making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while keeping accuracy and deadlines front and centre
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead the preparation of monthly and year-end group consolidations in line with AASB, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
- Produce statutory financial statements for group and subsidiary entities, ensuring they meet AASB standards.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, FBT, and BAS for Australian entities in partnership with external tax advisors.
- Calculate and record monthly and year-end tax provisions, including deferred tax and tax effect accounting under AASB.
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with ATO requirements.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial reporting and tax processes, including automation and system upgrades.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and procedures to support business goals.
Who You Are
You’re a detail-oriented and solutions-driven accounting professional who thrives on delivering accurate, compliant, and timely results. You have a strong technical foundation, but you’re just as confident working with people as you are with numbers.
- CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
- 2–5 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a large group environment.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation processes and AASB accounting standards.
- Demonstrated corporate tax compliance and reporting experience.
- High proficiency in Excel and ERP/consolidation systems.
- Background in Big 4 or Mid-Tier firms is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Why this role?
- Competitive hourly rate with superannuation.
- Multiple roles available across Perth CBD and suburbs.
- Opportunities across multiple sites in Perth CBD and suburbs.
- Varied contract lengths to suit your career goals, with potential for permanency.
- Be part of an experienced, collaborative team where your contribution will be valued.
