Holdsworth is a not-for-profit community organisation with over 80 years of history in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Originally starting as after-school care in the 1960s, it has evolved to deliver a broad range of tailored services—from aged care at home to family support programs—grounded in values of independence, trust, kindness, and openness.

Holdsworth supports older Australians through personalised care, community connection, transport, meals, and assistance navigating government-funded programs such as Home Care Packages and the Commonwealth Home Support Program. About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Aged Care Support Worker to join our team. Key duties will include:

• Providing personal care services such as showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  
• Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding assistance where required
  
• Delivering domestic help, including cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
  
• Assisting with shopping, errands, and transport
  
• Encouraging community participation and social engagement
  
• Following care plans, maintaining accurate service records, and reporting changes in client wellbeing
  
• Applying infection control protocols and PPE requirements
  

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who:

• Has experience in aged care, home care, or community support roles
  
• Thrives in a community-focused environment with a personalised approach to aged care
  
• Has a current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  
• Possesses a valid driver’s licence and access to a registered, insured vehicle
  
• Holds a valid National Police Check
  
• Is not subject to any aged care banning order
  

Highly desirable but not essential:

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
