Role Description – Experienced Dispatcher / Forklift Operator

A highly organised and safety-focused professional with extensive experience in dispatch operations, forklift operation, and warehouse coordination. Skilled in managing the movement of goods, coordinating delivery schedules, and ensuring efficient workflow across logistics operations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experienced with planning and scheduling software to optimise transport runs, track inventory, and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating and dispatching deliveries, collections, and warehouse movements in line with operational priorities.

Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and store goods.

Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation, delivery manifests, and inventory records.

Using planning and scheduling software to allocate resources, track progress, and meet customer commitments.

Communicating effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, and clients to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations.

Monitoring compliance with workplace health and safety procedures, including safe equipment handling and load management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and data entry.

Experienced with logistics planning and scheduling programs.
