Job Title: Electrician – Construction Project

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our construction team working on a major transport infrastructure project for the Perth Transport Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing electrical systems in compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, and commission electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with electrical codes and project plans.

Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.

Ensure all electrical work complies with Western Australian regulations and Perth Transport Authority standards.

Inspect electrical systems and equipment for safety, durability, and functionality.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively.

Collaborate with other construction teams to ensure timely project completion.

Maintain detailed records of electrical work, inspections, and compliance documentation.

Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures on-site.

Assist in the training and supervision of junior electricians or apprentices, if required.

Qualifications & Experience:

Fully licensed Electrician with an Australian Electrical License.

Proven experience in construction settings, preferably in transport or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and regulations in Western Australia.

Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with traffic signal systems, lighting, and telecommunications.

Certification in construction safety programs (e.g., White Card).

Familiarity with Perth Transport Authority project protocols.
