About the role

Max Stocks are seeking multiple enthusiastic and experienced Store people to join our Cairns warehouse team. We have full time vacancies across the day and afternoon shift:

Day Shift 6:00am - 2:30pm

Afternoon Shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm

This role is all about getting our customer orders ready safely, accurately and with care. You’ll work as part of a well-oiled team, picking and packing across our freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure our customers get the products they order, every time.

Key Responsibilities

Assistance with dispatch and loading of vehicle, ensuring orders are packed and stacked in a safe manner to avoid injury and/or damage

To undertake all duties in a safe, responsible and courteous manner

Pick/pack orders accurately and efficiently

Assist in the loading of goods into vehicles for delivery

Replenishment of stock into picking locations

Correctly present paperwork as per company procedures

Practice safe and correct manual handling

General warehouse duties in a dry and cold store environment

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

Forklift Licence essential

C Class Driver Licence essential

Comfortable working in cold environments (down to -25°C)

Customer focused with an appreciation for being the 'public face' of the company

Previous experience and understanding of warehouse and transport operations, preferably in the food service industry

Ability to learn a broad range of products

Understanding of OHS and HACCP requirements

Good organisation, communication and time-management skills

Highly motivated and flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive, can-do attitude

Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment

Ability to solve problems and learn a broad range of products

Physically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling and repetitive entering/exiting of a vehicle
