This role is responsible for fulfilling Peace Lutheran Church Gatton’s vision for providing safe and affordable housing in the Lockyer Valley.
Peace Haven is a retirement village based in Gatton with a portfolio of 20 independent living units. Anuha is a disability support service and owns and operates 11 Long Term Community Housing units as well as several private rentals.
The Accommodation and Facilities Officer works across all of these properties and reports to the Anuha Business Manager.
This is a part time role minimum 21 hours per week, flexible across days/times.
The successful applicant will be responsible to:
Provide a highly responsive and professional tenancy and housing management service.
Communicate in a professional and respectful manner, with a range of stakeholders, especially people with disabilities and aged residents.
Create enduring and successful tenancies for vulnerable people in our community.
Promptly receive quotes, organize maintenance work and supervise the services of tradespeople and other professionals for all delegated properties.
Ensure compliance with WHS, Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement processes across tenancy and properties.
Effectively managing all administrative functions including data collection, reporting, managing queries, complaints, disputes and phone calls.
Attributes we are looking for:
Tenancy management skills.
A sound understanding of, and ability to apply, legislation relating to Community Housing and the private rental market.
A knowledge of Retirement Living legislation/prior experience in the sector will be highly regarded.
Excellent communication skills across a range of stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills.
The ability to work independently.
Intermediate computer skills in particular Microsoft Office; experience in the use of tenancy management tools will also be highly regarded.
