Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Classification: YP3 – YP9
Salary: $42.41 – $52.20 per hour (excluding super)
Hours: Up to 80 per fortnight (includes an ADO every 4 weeks if working full-time)
Employment Type: Ongoing Full-Time or Part-Time
Mandatory: 2025 Flu Vaccination

We are seeking experienced and passionate Registered Nurses to join a dynamic Emergency Department team that sees over 50,000 patients annually. This is one of the busiest regional EDs in Victoria, operating 24/7 and staffed by a multidisciplinary team including emergency medicine specialists, critical care trained nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
As part of the team, you’ll deliver high-quality, timely, and compassionate care across diverse patient presentations – from initial assessment through to discharge – ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time. About Bendigo Health

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-focused nursing care
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary ED team
- Maintain professional standards in line with ANC, Code of Ethics, and Code of Professional Conduct
- Provide health education to patients and carers
- Participate in emergency department rotations, including resuscitation, triage, short stay, and fast track
- Mentor and support junior nurses and students
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and infection control standards
About You
Essential:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional development
- Full Autralian working rights
Desirable:
- Recent Emergency Department experience
- Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Additional Requirements
- Current and satisfactory National Police Record Check
- Working with Children Check (for child-related roles)
- Compliance with Bendigo Health’s Staff Immunisation Policy
