ASSISTANT MANAGER (Permanent, Full Time)
Wishart Outside School Hours Care (WOSHC) are currently seeking a passionate and professional WOSHC Assistant Manager to join the team at our service. As the Assistant Manager, you will support the WOSHC Manager with the day-to-day management of the service and assist with daily duties. The Role
As the WOSHC Assistant Manager, you will support the WOSHC Manager to lead and manage the service to ensure operation in line with Government Regulations, Legislation, National Quality Framework and organisational requirements. A key focus of the role is to support the WOSHC Manager to build and maintain stakeholder relationships while inspiring a supportive culture of safety and inclusion in line with our P&C’s values.
Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide an environment that is safe, nurturing, inclusive, challenging and promotes a sense of belonging for the young children in our service.
Ensure the service operates in alignment with the NQF and be committed to quality improvement across the service.
Foster a positive working relationship with parents, families, school staff and community.
Lead and develop strategies for family and community involvement, collaboration and engagement.
Assist the WOSHC in providing professional leadership and development to employees and volunteers working within the OSHC program.
Oversee the menu planning and preparation of nutritious light snacks and meals, ensuring WH&S standard procedures are followed at all times.
Attend and lead regular staff meetings and increase your childcare skills by taking advantage of training opportunities.
Assist the Educational Leader to structure indoor and outdoor activities balanced with active and passive learning areas.
About You
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary OSHC team
Strong working knowledge of the NQF, NQS, MTOP, QIP and compliance requirements
Current Blue Card and provide a National Police Check
Current First Aid and CPR certificate in an education setting (including Asthma & Anaphylaxis)
Experience with QikKids and/or XAP helpful but not essential
Please note: This role will include a combination of contact and non-contact time with children.
