- Collaborate with emergency teams to deliver fast, compassionate care for people in crisis
- Champion culturally safe, inclusive support that truly respects LGBTIQA+ communities
- Connect clients to vital community services for lasting support beyond the immediate care
- Drive service improvement by collecting meaningful data and helping evaluate outcomes
- Commit to ongoing learning and uphold NSW Health's high standards and cultural respect
About you
- Bring your lived experience of suicidal crisis to provide powerful peer support
- Identify as LGBTIQA+ and share your journey in a meaningful, supportive way
- Hold or commit to completing a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work within 18 months
- Know your way around suicide prevention, safety planning, and recovery-focused care
- Have hands-on experience in community health or NSW Health settings with policy knowledge

In this role you will be based at St Vincent's hospital, Darlinghurst.

- Closely partnered with universities & affiliated research institutes, many of which are located on-campus
- Centres of excellence include heart & lung transplantation, bone marrow transplantation, cardiology, cancer care, AIDS/HIV, respiratory medicine, mental health, homeless health, drug & alcohol services, and correctional health
