We’re on the lookout for dedicated Construction Workers to assist with maintenance and construction of our road network, ensuring that we provide our community with improved service and safer roads.
These roles offer variety and the stability of local government employment with the satisfaction of seeing your work shape the community.
If you have experience in construction works, roadworks maintenance, drainage works, concreting or brick paving, and have an MR or HR licence, we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing
Annual maintenance and construction programs of the City’s road and drainage network
Concrete works including footpaths, kerbing, setting-up formwork and concrete finishing
Daily planning and safety discussions
Operating power tools, plant, and equipment with confidence
Operating Medium Rigid vehicles, including cleaning and basic maintenance
Working as part of a team to deliver works on time and to a high standard
Who we’re looking for
MR driver’s license as a minimum (HR Licence desirable and training can be provided if required)
Experience in construction, roadworks maintenance, drainage works, concreting, or brick paving
Ability to safely and competently operate power tools, plant and machinery (tickets desirable, e.g. bobcat, excavator, loader, crane truck, roller, etc)
A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to helping your work mates
White card and satisfactory National Police Certificate required (within 6 months validity)

$39.41 per hour + super + penalties for overtime and special projects night work
