About the role
Your chance to make a real impact to the lives of Aboriginal men and reduce Family and Domestic Violence.
Work collaboratively with clinicians and stakeholders.
Deliver programs in a culturally sensitive manner to Aboriginal offenders.
Provide cultural advice and identify programmatic improvements.
The Aboriginal Program Officer is responsible for co-facilitation of a therapeutic FDV program that promotes prosocial/law abiding behaviour in Aboriginal offenders in various metropolitan and regional prisons and communities.
In addition, the position provides cultural advice and support on professional practice in therapeutic group service delivery to co facilitators, and provides advice to Offender Programs on program content, design and delivery.
The position may deliver psycho education programs within prison and community. This includes assessment, treatment, group delivery and report preparation.
