We are now expecting a very special addition to the family, and it’s almost time for our lovely director to go on maternity leave! So, we’re looking for a passionate Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our friendly, supportive team and make a real difference every day. In this role, you’ll be taking on the director’s manageable caseload, supporting predominantly children in our local community. Work with families in our welcoming home style clinic with a spacious indoor and outdoor play area, support students at a local primary school, and occasionally head out for community visits, keeping your workdays varied and rewarding.
This position will be offered on a Full Time 12-month contract for maternity cover with the likely opportunity to extend beyond for the right candidate.
What You'll Be Doing
Assessments & Therapy: Conduct detailed speech and language assessments, and develop personalised intervention plans for children and adolescents with developmental or neurodevelopmental needs.
Family & Caregiver Partnership: Collaborate closely with families to identify priorities, share practical home strategies, and build skills for ongoing support.
Educational Collaboration: Work alongside educators and early childhood services to integrate effective communication strategies into daily routines.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare clear, accurate, and timely clinical notes and reports in accordance with NDIS and organisational standards.
Evidence-Based Practice: Deliver interventions grounded in current research, adapting methods to match each child’s strengths and needs.
Professional Standards: Maintain high ethical, professional, and legislative compliance in all aspects of service delivery.

Mentoring and Support – Be directly supported by the director, who has over 7 years’ experience as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist and 15 years working with kids! Need support for a niche clinical area? We can organise external supervision.
Who We're Looking For
You will be welcomed into our home and become part of the family (literally), as such our biggest requirement is trust, and that we can all have a bit of fun together.
This role is best suited to an Experienced Speech Pathologists (minimum 2 years NDIS experience preferred) looking to move into a more independent role.
You will need to be confident in working with children, adolescents and young adults, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or developmental delays, and able to discuss NDIS-related matters with families independently.
Skilled in evidence-based communication strategies and interventions.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to client-centred care.
The requirements for this role include;
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
A passion for working with children and participants with disability.
Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Minimum of two years’ NDIS experience working as a Speech Pathologist.
Unrestricted drivers licence and access to your own vehicle for community appointments.
Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and current CPR and First Aid (or willingness to acquire).
Eligible for Medicare Provider number.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa with full working rights.
