About the role
As a FIFO Diesel Mechanic at T.A.S. Diesel Services Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of heavy machinery and equipment at remote mining sites. This is a Casual/ Full time position, fly-in-fly-out role which can be based from ANY Capital City in Australia with regular travel to project locations.

What you'll be doing

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on diesel-powered heavy equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, dozers, scrapers and loaders

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of heavy machinery

Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, meeting safety and quality standards

Provide on-site technical support and guidance to operators

Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to maximise equipment uptime

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a mining or heavy industry environment

Medical (Can be obtained)

Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and tools

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Valid driver's licence and ability to obtain a remote site access permit
