Our vibrant café and kitchen at Palm Lake Care Bargara is looking for energetic, customer-focused team members to join our Hospitality Casual Pool. This flexible pool of staff supports our café and kitchen services year-round, with increased shifts available over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

Whether you’re a skilled barista, a kitchen whiz, or simply love delivering great customer service, this is your opportunity to work in a welcoming, community-focused environment right by the beach.

About the Role

You’ll be part of our hospitality team, providing high-quality café service and assisting in the preparation and service of meals for residents and guests. Your role will be varied – from making coffee and serving customers to preparing sandwiches and plating meals.

Key Details

☕ Barista and café experience is essential

🥪 Food prep duties: Making sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and light snacks

🍽️ Food handling experience required

🕤 Shifts: Combinations of different shifts available AM and PM

What We’re Looking For

Proven barista and café experience is a must

Confidence in basic food preparation and safe food handling practices

Customer service experience

A warm, engaging personality and commitment to high-quality service

Ability to work independently and within a supportive team

Current Food Safety Certificate (would be advantageous)

Experience in hospitality, café, or aged care settings is highly regarded
