Ward Plumbing & Excavations require a Directional Drill Operator with experience to join our growing team.

WPE is a family run business, we sub-contract to Victoria's major water and telco authorities. We are currently expanding to more jobs that require a directional drill.

At the moment our Director is operating the Drill, this role will take over the Drilling Operations and will also require the operator to work in with our civil crew when working on jobs that do not require a drill such as short bores using a grundomat or open trenching with an excavator.

If you are looking for a job that only requires Drilling, then this is not the right job for you.

Our Depot is based in Sunshine, with 70% of work in the Melbourne area and 30% in country Victoria.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Directional Drill experience

Excavator Ticket

DBYD knowledge / Ability to read plans

Comfortable digging around live services

Truck License (MR or HR)

Red/ White Card

First Aid

Physically fit & punctual

Wages will depend on experience starting at $45ph with scope to increase if you have the necessary tickets and licenses. This job also has the potential for a Team Lead position for the right candidate.

You will work an 8hr day with time and half for the first two hours overtime and double time after 10hrs. Monday to Friday 6am to 2.30pm plus regular overtime.
