Barac Contractors is an experienced stone masonry company, established 10 years ago by a third-generation stonemason. We provide a range of stonemasonry services in Canberra and surrounding regions, such as retaining walls and feature walls.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Stonemason to join us in creating stone walls and other features using sandstone and blue stone.

Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

• Cutting and shaping stones using hand tools, and shape stone to fit irregular spaces
• Laying stone to construct walls or other features
• Mixing cement
• Setting up the job site ready for the stone work
• Truck and bobcat work as required for the job site.

About You

Along with your strong work ethic you must have:

• At least 2 years stonemasonry experience
• Full Australian working rights or permanent residency
• Australian Drivers Licence
• Collaborate effectively in a team and take initiative when working solo.
• Install natural stone using specialised machinery.
• Interpret drawings and measurements accurately.
• Uphold high standards of work quality and precision.
