About the Role

The Time+Tide Watch Discovery Studio Melbourne is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Watch Specialist to join our Melbourne CBD team. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the “Home of Watch Culture” while delivering exceptional and memorable customer experiences.

Due to one of our valued Watch Specialists being unable to continue in the role because of visa restrictions, we are looking forward to welcoming fresh energy and enthusiasm into our team.

We believe in a style of retail that is personal, engaging, and genuinely welcoming. Our customers are watch lovers, collectors, and enthusiasts and ever “just another sale.” The ideal candidate is both enthusiastic and knowledgeable about watches, thrives in a collaborative team setting, and enjoys building connections with people. While prior experience in the watch industry or luxury retail is preferred, we welcome applicants with strong customer service skills and the willingness to learn. Across our locations in Melbourne, London, and New York, we hire watch fans first and foremost.

This role offers a consistent roster, with flexibility to work additional hours when required.

Key Responsibilities

Warmly engage with customers, understand their needs, and guide them to the perfect timepiece.

Share knowledge of watch brands, specifications, features, and history – with full training provided to expand your expertise.

Assist with merchandising, stock control, and accurate record keeping.

Support daily shipping and logistics processes.

Contribute to the planning and hosting of exclusive Time+Tide events, including occasional evenings.

Collaborate with the team to create a cohesive, welcoming, and memorable in-store experience.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within luxury retail or the watch industry.

A genuine passion for watches and a desire to deepen your horological knowledge.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.

High attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional store presentation.

A motivated team player who values every contribution in a close-knit environment.
