Role Description
Joining an established team at the early stages of a new project, this role will offer a variety of tasks with opportunities for growth and development of skills. Located at our iron ore mining and haulage operations in the Yandicoogina region (Pilbara), the Dozer Operator is responsible for the operation, basic maintenance and inspecting of mobile and fixed plant to ensure optimal production and efficiency of the operations team, actively contributing to the overall success of the project.

Role Requirements

Roster will be 2/1 on a dayshift, nightshift roster - 7days, 7nights, 7days RnR

Operation and maintenance of mobile equipment including servicing and cleaning

Completion of daily pre-start checks of the mobile operating equipment prior to operation

All aspects of housekeeping including cleaning of the mobile plant, control room and/or Company vehicles, and also including clean-up of spillage within the plant using both manual and mechanical methods

Assisting maintenance workers with maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment in the event of breakdowns.

Completion of any other tasks and activities within your competency as directed by the Site Leadership Team

Compliance with all Company & Site Rules and Regulations as stipulated by the Company and/or the Client

Participate in hazard identification, assessment and control

Providing input and feedback for plant and operational improvements.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment.

Essential experience & qualifications:

Minimum of 12 months prior experience operating D10/D11 Dozer in a production mining site

Relevant Mobile Plant Nationally Recognised Training (NRT)

Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence (HR preferred)

CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (Construction “White card”)

Additional requirements:

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screen

Hold, or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance valid within 12 months

Ability to complete online inductions and provide two recent contactable references

Skills Required:

Flexible and versatile attitude

Strong understanding of mining operations and production targets

Physically mobile with a good fitness level

Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes

Ability to work within a team environment to achieve desired results

Excellent safety awareness with good housekeeping habits

Desirable qualifications:

Current MRL, RTIO and/or BHP induction status

Certificate III Resource Processing

CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights

RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces

HLTAID011 – Provide first aid

MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres

4WD/Defensive Driving (such as RIIVEH305F: Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle, RIIVEH201E: Operate a Light Vehicle)

TLIC1051 – Operate commercial vehicle
