Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Assembly Technician to work in our manufacturing department for radio communication antennas, accessories and related Electronic Devices situated at our Botany complex.

This position will suit a person who is good with hand tools, versatile, bright, has a mechanical aptitude, can work with minimal supervision, is eager to learn and has a positive work ethic. It is a permanent full-time position after a six-month qualifying period.

Duties include:

Mechanical and electronics assembly work

Hand soldering

Assembly work involving cabling, connectorisation, soldering, gluing, RF Testing

Assisting with documentation

Time keeping

Packaging finished products

Reading and interpreting technical manufacturing drawings and instructions.

Quality control, testing and reporting

Metal work in a production environment

Use of hand tools and hand power tools

Occasionally with the use of repetition engineering machinery such as drills, presses, metal finishing and electropolishing
