About Us
The Mind Spot is a growing, boutique neuro-affirming allied health clinic in beautiful Warragul, Gippsland that is passionate about delivering high-quality behaviour support within the Gippsland area. We are a registered NDIS provider, and we are having a growth spurt to bring some wonderful ideas to life. We’re currently building a multidisciplinary approach to behaviour support, bringing together Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Psychologists to create behaviour support plans that are rich, well-rounded, and truly individualised. We believe in a holistic approach to behaviour support that involves occupational therapists providing input on sensory and interoception strategies, speech therapists advising directly on communication supports and our psychologists providing input on understanding the diagnosis and emotional regulation. Our behaviour support practitioners are expected to be exceptional team players who can work collaboratively within teams to weave allied health insights into plans while contributing their own behaviour support knowledge to develop strategies that work in real life.
We’re deeply relationship-focused. We believe change happens when trust is built and people feel understood. That’s why our behaviour support practitioners spend time listening, connecting, and tailoring supports to the unique strengths and needs of each person.
Your Role
Provide neuroaffirming behaviour support to children, teens, and adults with disabilities.
Be innovative and creative in your approach to collecting data, and bring a curious mind to analyse behaviour data for patterns that others can't yet see.

Develop strengths-based, individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) that put the person first.
Always focused on the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices and empowering the individual to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Collaborate with our OT, Speech and Psych teams to integrate sensory, interoception, communication strategies and emotional regulation into behaviour support plans.
Participate in weekly group case consultations — more brains are better than one when navigating tricky behaviours.
Manage a flexible caseload that reflects your skills and experience.
You will have access to extensive PBS training, de-escalation training and safety intervention. You will be provided with the Studio III Managing Signs of Distress and Safety Interventions training for complex behaviours.
You will receive regular supervision, support and external professional development to help you thrive as a practitioner.
For Core and Proficient Practitioners, you will receive additional support, supervision, mentoring and training to grow into a confident Behaviour Support Practitioner
