About the role
Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the business functions of health care delivery. Additionally, they will be focused on the relative costliness of service activity and the identification of opportunities for improvement.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Work closely with the Business Manager, CCS Executive and broader hospital and Service Line Management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the various financial and non-financial information systems that can provide useful management information to assist in the ongoing management of the business units within Cancer Care Services.
- Provide analysis, recommendations and advice to managers, directors and clinicians on information extracted from corporate information systems such as the costing system, DSS Panorama and S4/Hana, to assist in the strategic management process for the Service Line.
- Provide monthly reporting and comprehensive analysis of the Service's performance in terms of expenditure, FTE and activity, identifying and explaining any relevant variances. Assist the business unit in the development of strategies to manage variances.
