About ND Collective:
ND Collective is a neuro-affirming paediatric allied health service dedicated to providing specialist support for children aged 0–9 years with disabilities or developmental delays. Our team is passionate about early intervention, family collaboration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for children and their communities.

The Role:
We are currently seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Cairns. This role offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. As a valued team member, you will work alongside like-minded professionals to deliver child-led, strengths-based therapy that respects each child’s neurodivergence identity and individuality.

What you'll be doing:

Deliver early intervention therapy to children aged 0–9 years in natural settings, including homes, schools, daycares, and the community.

Provide play-based, child-centered interventions that are goal-driven and evidence-based, in collaboration with our multidisciplinary allied health team.

Apply discipline-specific knowledge and competencies to identify and support the needs of children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Consult and collaborate with families, educators, health professionals, and other key stakeholders to ensure coordinated, holistic support.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including outcomes data, in accordance with ND Collective policies and procedures.

Prepare clear, evidence-informed reports that reflect best practice and meet NDIS and professional standards.

Participate in stakeholder meetings to inform therapy planning and advocate for the needs of the child.

Engage in ongoing professional development, including supervision, training, and reflective practice.

Practice within a neuro-affirming framework, promoting acceptance, inclusion, and respect for neurodivergent children and their families

What We're Looking For:

A qualified and AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist

Genuinely passionate about early childhood intervention and family-centred practice

Experienced or interested in working within a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed framework

Committed to professional growth, collaboration, and making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families

Skilled in working within a multidisciplinary team to achieve meaningful outcomes for children and families

A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders

Proficient in report writing, with excellent written communication skills

Organised and capable of managing a diverse caseload independently

Able to demonstrate strong time management and maintain timely, accurate records

Knowledgeable about the NDIS and comfortable working within a billable service model, or willing to learn

In possession of a current Blue Card, driver’s license, and have access to a reliable vehicle

What we offer
At ND Collective, we are committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and flexible work environment. Our team members enjoy access to ongoing professional development, competitive remuneration, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of neurodivergent children and their families. We value work-life balance and offer a range of attractive benefits, including flexible work arrangements, working from home, and regular professional clinical supervision. Join our dynamic and collaborative team and be part of a community making a real difference
