About the role

Join the team at the recently reopened George Hotel in their South Melbourne Kitchen. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes to the restaurant's high standards

Assist in the daily operation of the kitchen, including inventory management, food preparation, and cleaning

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Contribute to the development of new menu items and recipes

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in Cooking

Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a high-quality restaurant or catering environment

Excellent food preparation and cooking skills, with a keen eye for detail

Strong time management and organisational abilities to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen

A passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable approach to work
