About the roles

Erg Energy is growing, and we’re looking to expand our team with two key roles:

A qualified A-Grade Electrician with SAA Accreditation

An enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice (any stage from 1st to 4th year)

Based in Seaford, we work across residential and commercial projects throughout Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. We specialise in solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems, and we’re proud of the quality and care we bring to every job.

What you’ll be doing

Electrician:

Install and commission residential and commercial solar and battery systems

Install EV chargers and heat pump hot water systems

Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance to Australian Standards

Communicate clearly with customers and other trades onsite

Supervise and support apprentices

Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently

Apprentice:

Assist with solar, battery, EV and heat pump installations

Learn safe and efficient electrical practices from qualified team members

Gain hands-on experience with modern renewable technologies

Take responsibility for tools, materials and clean-up

Show initiative and a willingness to learn on the job

What we’re looking for

Electrician:

A-Grade Victorian Electrical Licence

SAA Solar Accreditation (required)

Battery Accreditation (preferred or willing to complete)

Experience in solar and battery installations (residential or commercial)

Strong knowledge of safety and compliance requirements

Excellent communication and time management skills

A reliable, professional and positive attitude

Apprentice:

Currently enrolled as a registered Electrical Apprentice (1st–4th year)

Basic understanding of electrical safety and hand tools

Willingness to listen, learn and work as part of a team

Good work ethic, punctuality and attention to detail

Interest in solar and renewable energy systems
