You will benefit from flexible working opportunities, generous pension contributions, and ongoing training designed to support your professional growth.
What you'll do:
As a Tax Manager based in Sydney CBD, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's approach to both advisory matters and tax reporting obligations. Your day-to-day activities will involve providing clear guidance on complex tax issues while ensuring that all operational reporting meets stringent regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to develop effective solutions that support business objectives while maintaining compliance with FATCA and CRS requirements. Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders will be essential as you help drive process improvements and share your expertise through training sessions. By staying up-to-date with legislative changes and industry trends, you will contribute significantly to the ongoing success of the team.

- Assist with operational reporting processes, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust processes for tax compliance across the organisation.
- Ensure full adherence to FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and CRS (Common Reporting Standard) requirements, proactively identifying any areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across finance, legal, and operations to address complex tax issues as they arise.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and related documentation for US companies or entities within the group structure.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation or regulatory guidance, communicating implications clearly to key stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal training initiatives by sharing knowledge on evolving tax regulations and best practices.
- Participate in regular reviews of existing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Act as a dependable point of contact for external advisors or auditors during tax-related reviews or audits.

Your background should include hands-on involvement with FATCA and CRS reporting standards as well as exposure to US company structures. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated their ability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels while delivering high-quality results under pressure. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to thrive within a collaborative team setting where knowledge-sharing is encouraged. A commitment to continuous learning-whether through formal qualifications or informal development-will ensure you remain at the forefront of industry best practice.
- Professional qualification in taxation or accounting (such as CA or CPA), demonstrating your technical proficiency in this field.
- Proven experience working within financial services environments, ideally supporting large-scale organisations or investment banks.
- Hands-on expertise in FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) and/or CRS (Common Reporting Standard) reporting standards is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated experience managing US companies or entities from a tax perspective, including familiarity with cross-border considerations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, enabling you to communicate complex information clearly and build trusted relationships across teams.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with attention to detail when reviewing reports or preparing documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment that values knowledge-sharing and mutual support.
