Programmed is seeking a reliable, experienced Handyman to join our team, working on-site at a major hospital facility. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services in a healthcare environment.

Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across hospital facilities

Responding to urgent and routine maintenance requests in a timely manner

Performing minor carpentry, painting, plastering, and patching work

Assisting with the installation and relocation of furniture and fittings

Basic plumbing repairs (e.g. leaking taps, blocked drains)

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with safety and infection control standards

Conducting regular inspections and reporting any hazards or required repairs

Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Communicating effectively with hospital staff, contractors, and the Programmed team

Using tools and equipment safely and ensuring they are well maintained

Working Hours

This role requires flexibility, as hours will vary depending on job requirements. Some weeks may offer around 40 hours, while others may have closer to 20 hours.

What We're Looking For:

Proven handyman or building maintenance experience (healthcare setting desirable)

Basic skills across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc.)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude

White Card and valid driver's license required
