About the role

Xcel Group of Companies is seeking a skilled and experienced Tradesman Carpenter to join our team in our Sydney, NSW office. As a Tradesman Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of a variety of commercial and residential projects. What you'll be doing

Undertaking a range of carpentry tasks including framing, roofing, flooring, and cabinetry installation

Reading and interpreting plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate work

Collaborating with project managers, site supervisors, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion

Performing maintenance and repair work as required

Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

Adhering to all relevant building codes, regulations, and company policies

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in carpentry or relevant building trade

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tradesman Carpenter in the construction industry

Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, technical drawings, and specifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other tradespeople

Current driver's licence and reliable transportation
