MyConnect helps Australians moving house get their utilities connected - fast, easily, and reliably. We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us scale our infrastructure, accelerate our deployments, and make our systems more resilient and efficient.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with engineers to shape how we deploy, operate, and improve everything we build.

About the Role

As DevOps Engineer, you'll own and enhance the tooling, automation, and cloud foundations that support our growing digital services. You'll work across AWS, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code — with a strong focus on CloudFormation, Bitbucket Pipelines, and AWS-native services.

We’re not a team with sprawling Kubernetes clusters or thousands of microservices - we value automation, observability, and sensible defaults that keep things fast, simple, and secure.

What You’ll Be Doing

Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation (ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.)

Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and AWS CodePipeline

Monitor performance, usage, and reliability with CloudWatch and related tools

Automate routine tasks (backups, scaling, provisioning)

Collaborate with software engineers on deployment, monitoring, and incident response

Document infrastructure and contribute to security and compliance readiness

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles

Strong experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code using CloudFormation

Hands-on experience with CI/CD and containerised deployment workflows

Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation and tooling

Comfortable working in a small team and helping shape DevOps standards from the ground up

Nice to Have

Experience with AWS Fargate, Lambda, or serverless tooling

Exposure to ISO 27001 or similar security/compliance frameworks

Experience working in a growth-stage company or scaling environment

Familiarity with monitoring stacks (e.g. Datadog, or similar)
