ProCare Mental Health Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Practice Manager to oversee our multidisciplinary mental health practice and manage the national GP Psychiatry Support Line.

About the GP Psychiatry Support Line
The GP Psychiatry Support Line is a free national service connecting GPs with psychiatrists for expert advice on patient mental health needs. Operating 12 hours a day, 5 days a week, the service helps GPs with medication advice, diagnostic clarification, risk assessment, and management planning.

About The Role
As Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring both our local clinical operations and our national support service run smoothly and efficiently. This is a diverse position involving operational leadership, people management, and service delivery coordination. The position requires a minimum of 3 days per week, 9am to 5pm weekdays.

Key Responsibilities

ProCare Practice Management

Oversee day-to-day operations of a busy multidisciplinary mental health practice

Manage practice management software and liaise with providers to resolve issues

Oversee financial processes including contractor invoicing, third-party billing, and debt collection

Maintain expert knowledge of MBS, DVA, ADF, NDIS, and WorkCover systems and fees

Recruit, onboard, roster, and train both clinical and administration staff

Advise clinical staff on fee changes and keep abreast of market rates

Develop and uphold practice policies and procedures

Coordinate events, newsletters, and internal communications

Report to major stakeholders

Assist the running of board meetings

Foster a safe, inclusive, and collaborative workplace

GP Psychiatry Support Line Management

Manage daily operations of the national support service

Build strong relationships with psychiatrists and administration staff

Manage psychiatrist and admin rosters to ensure service coverage

Recruit, onboard, and train administrative team members

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in specialist medical or allied health settings

Confident and experienced with practice management software

Strong background with IT systems including Microsoft Office

Calm and composed under pressure

Kind, empathetic, and people-focused

Skilled in stakeholder engagement – from board members to clinicians and external partners

Strong in financial management and service coordination
