Salary Range: Level 4.1 $120k + super in 2026 plus POL 4 allowance $10,000-$13,000
From 2027: Deputy Principal Category B allowance applies (higher leadership $30,000-$35,000)

About the School
HARKE has partnered with a respected Catholic secondary college in the Murray Valley region of Victoria. Educating students from Years 7–12, the college is known for its inclusive culture, academic achievement, and commitment to the dignity of every student.
With Stage One of a major new campus set to open in 2027, this school is entering a period of significant growth. Backed by strong governance, strategic vision, and deep community ties, this is a unique opportunity to join a thriving team at a pivotal moment.
About the Role
The Head of Campus will play a key role in leading the school’s expansion, with a five-year appointment beginning in Term 1, 2026.
In 2026, the role will focus on managing the transition to the new site, working with staff, students, and families. This will require exceptional consultation, collaboration and clear communication.
From 2027, the Head of Campus will lead the new Years 7–9 site, overseeing its day-to-day operations and contributing to broader executive leadership as a Deputy Principal Category B.
2028–2030: During this period, the school aims to complete the second stage of the Master Plan, accommodating all Year 7 to 9 students on the new campus. The Head of Campus will undergo a review in 2028, and the position description will be updated as necessary.

We are seeking a leader who is:
A practicing Catholic, committed to the mission of Catholic education
Experienced in educational leadership with a strong track record of managing change and building culture
Passionate about student wellbeing, learning outcomes, and staff development
Skilled at operational planning, communication, and relationship-building
Motivated by the opportunity to shape a new school environment through collaboration, consultation, and faith-driven leadership
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational leadership during campus transition and beyond
Lead student wellbeing, academic engagement, and pastoral care across Years 7–9
Manage staff onboarding, development, and performance
Collaborate with executive leadership on planning, innovation, and improvement
Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and the broader community
Uphold the school’s Catholic identity and commitment to child safety
Requirements
Registration: Must hold or be eligible for VIT registration
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia
Safeguarding: Must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process in line with child safety standards
