As an Acute Surgical Ward Nurse, you’ll meet patient care needs with a smile. We are looking for registered and enrolled nurses aspiring to further their career, who really care for their patients and who love working in a friendly, supportive team.
We're particularly looking for RNs and ENs with experience in Neuro surgical, Vascular, Gastrointestinal surgery, and generalised surgical care.
We are looking to offer Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time contracts to the right candidates and, ideally, you’ll be able to commit to a rotating roster including AM, PM shifts and night shifts.
Key accountabilities:
A genuine passion to provide excellent care for both patients and their loved ones
Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
Effective assessment of patients, by analysing data and identifying their needs
Ability to develop a holistic nursing care plan to meet individual patient needs
Medication administration
Strong administration skills, ability to accurately record the patient journey in a timely fashion
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
Strong attention to detail, ensuring patient safety at all times
The ability to stay calm under pressure
A great sense of teamwork and effective communication skills. You're happy to seek guidance when you need it.
Other Requirements:
• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Division 1 (AHPRA)
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience
• Valid Working with Children Check
• National Police Check
• 100-point ID check
• Full Australian Working Rights (Sponsorships not available at this stage)
• Proof of vaccinations
