Our client is a key delivery partner on the iconic Snowy Hydro 2.0 project based in Cooma. THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Site Scheduler to support the electrical and mechanical erection scope of works at the Snowy 2.0 site. In this position, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and ongoing maintenance of a detailed Field Service Schedule using Primavera P6. This includes tracking construction progress, managing interfaces and subcontractors, and ensuring all deliverables are aligned with project milestones.

LOCATION & ROSTER
This is a site-based role at Lobs Hole, operating on a 14/7 FIFO roster.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain a detailed Primavera P6 schedule for mechanical and electrical erection activities, including turbines, generators, hydraulic steel structures, and balance of plant systems
• Coordinate field service scheduling with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones and client timelines
• Update and manage synchronization of field schedules with master and integrated schedules shared with the client
• Monitor progress and performance at site in close coordination with the Site Project Manager and Supervisors
• Identify schedule risks and deviations early, propose mitigations or recovery plans, and ensure adherence to key project deadlines
• Interface closely with subcontractors to assess progress against plan and manage dependencies
• Report earned progress, critical path changes, and float consumption
• Assist with rolling look-ahead planning in partnership with site leadership
• Promote a schedule-driven culture within the site team
• Contribute to preventive planning to reduce schedule impacts during commissioning and unit operations
ABOUT YOU
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical)
• 10+ years’ experience in senior scheduling roles, including at least 5 years as a lead scheduler on large-scale hydro or complex infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in installation and commissioning planning of heavy mechanical systems
• High-level proficiency in Primavera P6, with additional capability in Power BI and SAP considered advantageous
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
PROJECT INFORMATION
Snowy 2.0 is the next generation of the iconic Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Scheme, and construction of this major pumped hydro project is well underway. Once complete, the Scheme will provide 2000 megawatts of dispatchable, on-demand renewable power and approximately 350,000 megawatt hours of large-scale energy storage to the Australian National Electricity Market.
