Casual Processing Operators (School Hours Welcome)

Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is located adjacent to the village of Tomingley, 50 kms south of Dubbo in Central NSW. The operation consists of both underground and open cut mines and a 1Mtpa processing plant on site that produces gold bullion. The current workforce consists of approximately 250 permanent employees in professional, technical, mining, processing and trades roles.

The development of an additional open cut and underground mines 3 kms south of the Tomingley deposits have just been approved. With this exciting expansion, there is an expected mine life beyond 2030.

Tomingley Gold Operations (part of Alkane Resources) is currently seeking casual Processing Operators to support our day-to-day site operations. This opportunity is ideal for stay-at-home mums (or dads!) who want flexible, family-friendly hours with options for both short shifts during the school day or full 12-hour shifts for those with greater availability a few days a week.

The Role
You’ll be supporting the Processing department with general labouring and loading and unloading carbon bags for transport. It’s a hands-on job suited to individuals who are safety-conscious, proactive, and enjoy physical work in an outdoor environment.

What you’ll need:

A current forklift licence – this is essential

A manual driver’s licence

A flexible and reliable attitude

The ability to work both independently and in small teams

Willingness to assist with a variety of operational tasks

Availability for shifts Monday to Sunday (as needed)

Casual position with flexible day shift options – school hours, or full 12-hour shifts available

NB: Tomingley Gold Operations is a residential mine located 50km South of Dubbo in Central West NSW. This role is a residential role and if not living in the local area, relocation will be required.
