About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Educator to join our vibrant team at Kids on the Avenue Children Centre in Coburg, VIC. As a full-time Childcare Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the children in our centre.

What you'll be doing

Implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs that support children's learning, development and wellbeing

Collaborating with the teaching team to plan, deliver and evaluate activities that foster children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth

Providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes children's exploration, creativity and independence

Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to inform future planning and individualised learning

Building strong partnerships with families, ensuring open communication and involving them in their child's learning journey

Complying with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and education

What we're looking for

Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Demonstrated experience working as a Childcare Educator in an early learning setting

A deep understanding of child development and effective teaching practices for early childhood

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

A passion for promoting children's wellbeing, curiosity and love of learning

A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
