About The Opportunity
We at Programmed Facility Management are seeking experienced Maintenance Painters to join our WA Housing Pilbara Team. In this integral role you will be part of an essential team that provides painting and general maintenance to public and community dwellings.
Nature of position: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Karratha
Reporting line: Area Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
- Prepare painting surfaces for painting by scraping, filling in the cracks and removing old paint.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment.
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced Painter who has history in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. You are a key person within the team, promoting staff morale while displaying a “can do” and “team player” attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Current Painters Registration (mandatory)
- Valid C Class Driver’s License (mandatory)
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights (desirable)
- First Aid training and Trade based competencies (desirable)
- Building Trades qualification (desirable)
- Intermediate Technology Skills (for smart devices)
